Main Feature of the Project
Project aims was promoting ‘Defecation Safe’Union that secure defecation free open spaces ‘Insaani Fuzlay Say Paak Union’, excreta free open dains/swer discharges ‘Insaani Fuzlay say Paak Naalian’ and defecation free hands ‘Insaani Fuzlay say Paak Haath’. This project was helpful for the government of Punjab achieving its sanitation strategy objective of open defection free environment; promoting community led total sanitation; raising awareness and changing the communities’ attitude and behavior towards sanitation.- To bring positive behavioral change amongst community through awareness programs. – To help children in getting better education and in playing active role in social development process. – To facilitate community, especially women, to start income generation activities through provision of micro credit facilities, training and market linkages. – To mobilize community to drink safe water, use sanitary latrines, adopt hygienic behaviors and keep the environment clean. – To create linkages amongst community and government departments.
